Momentum Solutions Donates 15,000 Specialty Children's Masks to Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital

Momentum Solutions is donating 15,000 high grade masks to The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto this afternoon to address the pressing need for personal protective equipment (PPE).

The donation comes as part of Momentum’s recognition of the need to support the vulnerable population of children combatting COVID-19 or other illnesses which lower immunity and increase susceptibility to infections including the coronavirus.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic Momentum has been working with governments, state agencies and various partners globally to help curb the transmission of the coronavirus through procurement of high grade affordable PPE and cost effective air charter cargo flight transportation. “The need for quality PPE continues to be a pressing concern for many in the health care community” said Momentum’s CEO Stephen Arbib, “and that includes for both front line workers as well as for their young patients here at SickKids”.

The masks will be received and undergo screening by SickKids staff following which they will be transported for formal supplies intake.  “We are grateful to corporate leaders like Momentum Solutions for their continued commitment to improving child health, especially during these unprecedented times,” said Kevin Goldthorp, President and Chief Development Officer at SickKids Foundation.  “Momentum’s generous donation of essential protective equipment supports ongoing measures to protect patients and staff from COVID-19 at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and will help ensure that front-line staff can continue to provide the best possible care.”
