Momentum Solutions Urgent Response Team was awarded the United Nations contract for repatriation of eight (8) Ukrainian contingent force Mi-8 Helicopters.

Our Urgent Response heavy lift cargo team returned to Africa this past October, overseeing multiple charter flights to repatriate a series of Mi-8 helicopters from Entebbe, Uganda to Rzeszow, Poland. 

The helicopters had completed their assigned contracts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Ukrainian Air Force urgently required them to be shipped back to support the ongoing Ukrainian defense efforts at home 

Momentum charterered AN-124 aircraft and executed the requirement in three (3) flights, all on schedule.  The job was completed within a week, allowing for additional time between flights to reassemble the helicopters at Rzeszow airport, shortly after their arrival.  Only the primary and tail rotor blades had to be removed for loading and the struts lowered for transport, which translated to a swift return to service for the helicopters on arrival.  Total payload transported was approximately 80 tons.

Momentum was honored to play a role in supporting the United Nations and to return much needed airlift to the brave men and women fighting for Ukraine.
