Moving Peacekeeping Equipment from China to South Sudan.

Brief: In early 2015, Momentum Solutions was contracted to deliver 650 metric tones of various oversized UN Peacekeeping equipment from Jinan, China to Juba, South Sudan.
Solution: We were tasked with arranging the best capacity air transportation option, utilizing multiple various capacity aircraft (including AN-124, IL-76, and Boeing-747F).
Results: Most of this equipment was transloaded in Entebbe, Uganda for final delivery in Juba. Ultimately, all was delivered on time to assist in the supply and support of continued humanitarian relief.
Operational Air Lift Support In Afghanistan

Brief: Afghanistan needed to provide flexible, reliable, and safe air movement for the Afghan National Defense Security Forces (ANDSF) via the Afghan Air Force (AAF).
Solution: The challenging nature of the mission required deploying 6 Mi-8 helicopters in a 9-month period, flying 1,712 hours, moving 50,227 kg of cargo, and 4,849 passengers.
Result: We helped alleviate the heavy burden on the AAF by performing air movements on their behalf – allowing them to focus on their primary missions.
Fixed & Rotary Wing Support For FEMA Following Hurricane Maria

Brief: Hurricane Maria, a deadly Category 5 hurricane devasted Puerto Rico in September 2017. Momentum Solutions was contracted to deliver multiple units of airlift support for FEMA to facilitate open ended evacuation efforts where needed and transit emergency relief workers, supplies and aid from various points on the US mainland for as “long as necessary”.
Solution: We were commissioned to source an extensive array of air transport options for a complex list of lift needs with less than 24 hours notice. We utilized passenger and cargo aircrafts as well as helicopters to facilitate access to both central and remote locations on the island.
Results: The Momentum operations team was position in Puerto Rico and worked 24/7 from September 2017 through March 2018 for FEMA to ensure all aircraft and helicopter missions could be mobilized when needed on short notice, and operated smoothly.
Fort McMurray Wildfire – Emergency Short Term Housing & Catering Support

Brief: May through July 2016 wildfires swept through Fort McMurray Alberta, leading to the largest wildfire evacuation in Alberta’s history, with over 80,000 people displaced from their homes and an estimated 2400 homes and buildings decimated. A major Canadian bank and insurance supplier contracted Momentum to assist with short term housing solutions and meals on short notice.
Solution: Momentum was requested to source short term hotel and apartment housing and provision meals for a large contingent of displaced evacuees.
Result: We supplied over 100+ housing units with full amenities, internet and utilities alongside meals for all residents for a period of 30 days in May and June of 2016.
Remote Twin Otter Aircraft Rescue From Nunavut

Brief: A Royal Canadian Aircraft CC-138 Twin Otter Aircraft was damaged during a landing on sea ice north of Inuvik, Nunavut in March 2019. Momentum was contracted by the RCAF to arrange airlift recovery back to Inuvik.
Solution: Momentum supplied a Sikorsky S-61N MKII helicopter with sling capacity of 11,000 lbs to transport the 7,800 lb Twin Otter back to Inuvik to support the RCAF’s rescue and recovery operation.
Result: Momentum’s Operations team worked alongside the impressive team dispatched by the RCAF to ensure the Twin Otter was transported successfully back to Inuvik for repairs, a journey which took approximate 90 minutes across the Arctic.

Repatriation Of Canadian Citizens From Wuhan China For Canadian Government

Brief: Canadian government requested emergency repatriation of Canadian citizens from Wuhan, China at the outset of the coronavirus pandemic outbreak in early February 2020, under never before seen challenging quarantine conditions.
Solution: Momentum chartered an Airbus 330 with 300+ seating capacity and our operations team ensured the aircraft and crew were equipped with all necessary PPE supplies and detailed procedures for performing the evacuation.
Result: The A330 successfully departed Wuhan, China on February 6, 2020 and safely flew 176 Canadian citizens from Wuhan, China to CFB Trenton where passengers and crew underwent 14 days of medically monitored isolation. Momentum ensured all passengers and crew were properly outfitted with the requisite personal protective equipment per Canadian government regulations throughout the operation and performed rigorous disinfection protocols to clean the aircraft following the flights and before releasing it back to general service.
Urgent Cargo Charters For PPE during Coronavirus Outbreak

Brief: During the 2020 Corona virus pandemic outbreak, Momentum was requested by numerous governments and clients to transport several hundred tons of PPE supplies from China to the US within a short timeframe.
Solution: Momentum contracted cargo aircrafts with varied capacities including converted Airbus 340, Antonov 124 and 225 aircrafts to move all cargo including N95 face masks.
Results: The urgently needed cargo supplies were delivered on time to be further dispatched to front line workers combatting the outbreak.
